Temperature sensors

PT100, PT1000, KTY and NTC sensors are used to control the temperature of equipment and depending on the customer’s requirements, the alarm/triggering threshold can be customised, when a critical value is detected.

The PT100 and PT1000 are RTD (Platinum Resistance Temperature Detectors) sensors and their resistance is almost linear with respect to the changes in temperature. Their thermometer function, combined with a digital regulator allows you to control the temperature of equipment and to trigger corrective action when a critical value is reached.

The PTY and KTY silicon sensors have a positive temperature coefficient according to the resistance, whereas NTC sensors are characterised by their negative temperature coefficient.

Digital regulators are devices that power the low voltage PT100 and PT1000 sensors. They indicate the temperature on a display and are able to activate a changeover contact when a certain temperature is reached.
