Low VOS content resins

The low VOS content resins have a high reactivity and low viscosity with reactive monomers.
Their versatility and proven reliability in situations that require high productivity and good performance at low cost makes them ideal for:

  • immersion impregnation at atmospheric pressure
  • trickle impregnation
  • roll dip/roll through impregnation
  • vacuum impregnation
  • vacuum pressure impregnation

DOLPHON CC-1080L is a special 100% solid polyester resin, specially formulated for the impregnation of armatures of portable power tools and fractional HP motors and stators for electric motors. It has an excellent bonding strength even at high temperatures. The low viscosity of DOLPHON CC-1080L ensures excellent penetration even in the case of very fine wires. It is suitable for use with standard impregnation processes using dip roll/roll through or trickle impregnation systems.
The main properties of this material include:

  • Excellent bonding strength at high temperatures
  • Low viscosity, good storage stability
  • Very short treatment cycles
  • Solvent-free varnish – no air bubbles, maximum filling
  • Included in UL approved insulating systems for 180°C

DOLPHON CC-1080L/562-D is a special 96% solid polyester resin, specially formulated for the impregnation armatures of portable power tools and fractional HP motors, stators for electric motors and rotors for electrical household appliances. DOLPHON CC-1080L/562-D has an excellent bonding strength even at high temperatures.
The main properties of this material include:

  • Excellent bonding strength at high temperatures
  • Low viscosity, good storage stability
  • Very short treatment cycles
  • 96% solid residue, maximum filling

DOLPHON CC-1080L/721-D is a 100% solid, filled, resilient polyester resin, particularly suitable for locking the armature wires in the collector area.

DOLPHON CC-1096 is a special 100% solid polyester resin, formulated specifically for the impregnation of armatures of portable power tools and fractional HP motors and stators for electric motors.
It has an excellent bonding strength even at high temperatures.
The low viscosity of DOLPHON CC-1096 ensures excellent penetration even in the case of very fine wires. It is suitable for use with standard impregnation processes using dip roll/roll through or “trickle impregnation” systems.

  • Pre-catalysed with tank stability of over 1 year at 25°C max
  • Extremely high flash point (over 160°C). Low fire risk
  • Low vapour pressure, ideal for vacuum impregnation
  • Low viscosity, with excellent penetration into windings
  • High bonding strength at high temperatures
  • Excellent resistance to moisture and chemical agents

DOLPHON CC-1105LV is a one-component, 100% solid low viscosity polyester resin, specially formulated for open tank impregnation and continuous systems in which it is not possible to preheat the pieces. Its main features are:

  • UL approved (File OBOR2.E317427 and OBJS2.E317429)
  • UL approved for classes 130,155,180 and 220°C
  • Pre-catalysed with tank stability of over 1 year at 25°C max
  • Extremely high flash point (over 160°C). Low fire risk
  • Low vapour pressure, ideal for vacuum impregnation
  • Low viscosity, with excellent penetration into windings
  • High bonding strength at high temperatures
  • Good resistance to moisture and chemical agents
  • Freon resistant, suitable for use in hermetic motors.

DOLPHON CC-1105OPT is a 100% solid polyester resin specially formulated for fast trickle impregnation cycles for electric motors (stators and armatures).
Its main features are:

  • Pre-catalysed one-component resin
  • UL approved (File OBOR2.E317427 and OBJS2.E317429)
  • High bonding strength at high temperatures
  • Does not contain styrene or other monomers that have strong odours
  • Low viscosity Excellent penetration into windings
  • High flash point (above 165°C), reduced fire risk

DOLPHON CC-1106 is a two-component 100% solid polyester resin specially formulated for trickle impregnation cycles for armatures of electric tools, fractional HP motors and stators of electric motors.
Its main features are:

  • High flash point (above 160°C)
  • Very low evaporation during the treatment cycle
  • Low odour
  • Excellent bonding strength at high temperatures
  • Fast curing
  • Included in UL approved insulation systems 130-220°C.

DOLPHON CC-1144 is a one-component modified polyester resin suitable for vacuum or open tank impregnation. The product has an excellent resistance to moisture and chemical agents. Its high tank stability means that preheated items can be immersed at temperatures of up to 60°C to improve impregnation to shorten treatment times.
Its most important features are:

  • High resistance to moisture and chemical agents- Good anti-corrosion protection of the pack
  • Excellent electrical properties
  • Excellent tank stability No need to allow the workpieces to cool down completely, they can be immersed while hot (50-60°C)

DOLPHON CC-1305/503-D is a 100% solid, one-component, tough and elastic polyester resin, recommended when a good coverage and protection of the lamination pack is required.

The main characteristics of this resin are:

  • Non-flammable – flash point above 140°C
  • Very low volatility
  • Good coverage – excellent resistance to moisture chemical agents
  • Long tank stability
  • Low odour in the work environment;
  • Tough – flexible even at high thickness
  • UL approval for class 130, 155 and 180°C systems
  • Solvent free – improved filling and heat dispersion
  • High bonding strength – transformer noise reduction
  • DOLPHON CC-1305/503-D has been specially formulated for the vacuum impregnation – vacuum pressure impregnation of stators, rotors, traction coils, preformed coils, high voltage coils and transformers.

Its low viscosity also makes it suitable for use in open tank systems.
