{"id":5914,"date":"2017-03-10T10:20:32","date_gmt":"2017-03-10T09:20:32","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.miottisrl.com\/adesivi-per-magneti\/"},"modified":"2017-10-03T16:03:17","modified_gmt":"2017-10-03T14:03:17","slug":"adhesives-for-magnets","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.miottisrl.com\/en\/adhesives-for-magnets\/","title":{"rendered":"Adhesives for magnets"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>A permanent magnet rotor is an important component within a Brushless motor\/generator, but how can we be sure it is performing, assembled efficiently and able to withstand the mechanical stresses it will undergo during use?<\/p>\n<p>We answer the first question in our lab, which guarantees the quality of the supplied magnets, but also verifies the flow produced by the rotor in rotation, to be sure the set is performing.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-2275 size-medium\" src=\"https:\/\/www.miottisrl.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/04\/magneti_caso_studio2-225x300.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"225\" height=\"300\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.miottisrl.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/04\/magneti_caso_studio2-225x300.jpg 225w, https:\/\/www.miottisrl.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/04\/magneti_caso_studio2-768x1024.jpg 768w, https:\/\/www.miottisrl.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/04\/magneti_caso_studio2.jpg 900w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 225px) 100vw, 225px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>On assembly, we are the first ones, with Fox Mecc, to produce automatic assembly lines for permanent magnet rotors, including banding machines as additional mechanical protection.<\/p>\n<p>But <strong>what products do you use to bond magnets to the rotor<\/strong>? What process do you use to make sure that the temperature required for the polymerisation of the adhesive does not damage the magnets?<\/p>\n<p>To answer these questions, we took our <strong>MiottiBond adhesives\u00a0<\/strong>and compared them to the leading products available on the market, subjecting them to lap-shear tests as per ISO 4587.<\/p>\n<p>But Iron-on-Iron bonding tests might not be such a great representation of the customer&#8217;s problem! In fact, magnets often have galvanic coatings, which are difficult to bond because they are detachable (e.g. Nickel).<\/p>\n<p>Therefore our study was divided into various comparative Iron-Iron and <strong>Iron-Coating<\/strong> tests to provide our customers with precise values \u200b\u200bto complete their project calculations.
